She was born on 3 August 1969 in Singapore where she attended Marymount Convent School and after that studied at Raffles Junior College in Singapore. After completion of graduation, she started work as a copywriter in advertising before she turns to print journalism. Later on, in 1999 she joined Parkway Holdings where she managed corporate communications. After this Woo return to journalism in 2003 and serving for one year as an assistant editor on TODAY which is a free English Language tabloid in Singapore. Later on, in 2004 she moved to MediaCorp and served as its vice president of corporate communications. After this she joining Channel NewsAsia in 2007. During her career in NewsAsia, she led the news channel and she fronted the highly rated news program Singapore Tonight. Previously she was a presenter also on Asia Business Tonight, East Asia Tonight, Asia Today and World Today also. In 2014 she left Channel NewsAsia and joined Hyflux which is a Singapore company special in water engineering. In 2006 she set up her own film production company also named as Mythopolis Pictures with famous Singapore-based American film director Tony Kern. She produced and direct many films under this film production company. Woo own a vintage jewelry online store also named as Bunny which is a modern handmade and authentic vintage jewelry. She has the huge fan following in the entire world and Woo is active on social media also.
